An Ohio notary stamp for your commissioned name
This Ohio notary stamp uses the Trodat 4642 self-inking housing with a 1⅝-inch round impression. Enter your commissioned name in Notary, choose ink and review any matching supplies. This exact product has no commission-number, county or expiration field. Its original photographs show the housing; the personalized seal is on the stamp face.
Ohio Revised Code §147.04 requires the Ohio coat of arms inside a circle, with the office wording, name and State of Ohio surrounding it. The statute’s ¾-to-one-inch measurement applies to that inner circle. It does not limit the whole stamp to one inch. Our text preview checks your name; it does not reproduce the coat of arms.
Housing, ink and ordering
The internal pad re-inks the die between impressions and can be refilled or replaced. This Ohio notary stamp offers Black, Pink, Red, Purple, Blue, Orange, Green, Dry and Brown. The photographed black housing does not change color with the ink selection. Dry is a listed configuration, not another colored ink.
Set Qty, enter Notary and choose the ink. Special Instructions is for relevant production notes. The date of an individual notarial act belongs on the document; it is not an extra engraving field on this product. Review the preview and cart before payment. If you correct the name later, use the complete product editor so a matching personalized accessory receives the correction too.
Optional supplies for an Ohio notary seal
The form offers a Hand Held Embosser, two journal binding styles, Thumb Print Pad, two lockable bag sizes, Gold Embossing Labels, Notary Privacy Guard and Seal Inker. Each checkbox is independent. The Secretary of State recommends a journal for traditional acts but does not require one. That guidance is separate from the rules for remote online notarization.
Three supply kits share the same checkbox label but have different contents. Starter contains refill ink, a soft journal, thumbprint pad and two privacy guards. Intermediate adds a large lockable bag. Professional adds an EZ hand embosser, gold foil seals and seal inker. None includes the primary stamp. Compare kit contents with separately selected supplies to avoid unwanted duplicates.
Ohio notary stamp questions
- What do I enter in Notary?
- Enter your commissioned name. This round product personalizes that name on the Ohio notary seal. It does not ask for a county, commission number or expiration date.
- Does the one-inch rule describe this housing?
- No. Section 147.04 describes the inner circle containing the coat of arms. This product’s listed impression is 1⅝ inches round; the housing itself is not the statutory inner circle.
- Is an embosser included?
- The Hand Held Embosser is an optional checkbox. It makes a raised impression and is a separate tool from the self-inking stamp. The Professional supply kit also includes an EZ hand embosser.
- Is this a remote online notary credential?
- No. If you searched for “notary stamp Ohio,” this page is for a physical ink stamp. It supplies no online authorization, electronic seal file or remote notarization service.
